Atlanta Sustainable Fashion Week (Zero Waste Fashion Week) is a citywide initiative focused on reducing textile waste and advancing circular solutions within one of the most resource-intensive industries.
This multi-day series activates locations across Atlanta and Athens to explore how discarded textiles—such as event banners, uniforms, surplus fabrics, and household materials—can be diverted from landfills and transformed into new products through reuse, repair, and upcycling.
Programming includes material reuse demonstrations, educational workshops, museum and textile archive visits, community-based activations, and public showcases that highlight innovative approaches
to extending the life of textiles. The initiative also connects students, designers, and local partners to real-world applications of circular design and waste reduction.
