GEFA will be hosting a webinar to discuss the recent Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant funding that they will administer. The Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) Program is designed to assist states, local governments, and Tribes in implementing strategies to reduce energy use, to reduce fossil fuel emissions, and to improve energy efficiency within their communities. Communities will be able to choose an activity of interest from a variety of pre-approved Dept. of Energy Blueprints. Blueprint options include:
- Energy Planning
- Energy Efficiency: Energy Audits and Building Upgrades
- Energy Savings Performance Contracts: Energy Efficiency and Electrification in Government Buildings
- Community Solar
- Solarize Campaign
- Electric Vehicles and Fleet Electrification
- Workforce Development
The webinar will review the EECBG program and Blueprint activities, as well as provide details on who is eligible to apply, technical assistance opportunities and next steps for the application process.
